Developing Your Portfolio
Your Show: Putting Yourself Out There
As part of your final examination, you will be shooting several new works and use some class work to create a public show for your artwork. It needs to be 8 to 10 images when you are done. The whole show must address the same theme. As a photographer you should present an emerging style to your work. A cohesiveness is important to this body of work that will make your own show flow.
Selection of your images

Technical skill of printing the final print.
Avoid kitsch or cliche
Something new, something old.
Hanging the show
For this show you will need to mat your work. Choose similar mats and keep your borders similar for all images. (proportional and not numerical) I have several black frames that could be used if you print 8.5” x 11” work for this show. See me if you are interested in these. You will need to attach some sort of hanging device for your work as well. Finally, an artist's statement about your theme for the show will accompany your work. Make it worth reading. Have fun!
